About Us

We are a family operated business, based in Tauranga in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, and we love houses! Coming from a background in construction, we have also built and renovated our own homes, and want to see others get the most from one of their biggest investments.

Keith Tindall

Keith Tindall (AMBOINZ, City & Guilds Carpentry/Joinery, IoC Carpentry)

BOINZ Accredited Building Surveyor (Level 1)

Keith is a fully qualified carpenter/joiner and holds  qualifications from the Institute of Carpentry (London) and City and Guilds (London), with 30 years in the construction industry - both commercial and residential. Keith moved to New Zealand 24 years ago with his family and has been living and working in Tauranga since.  He is an accredited building surveyor and member of the Building Officials Institute of New Zealand (BOINZ). Keith has a great understanding of buildings and construction to identify possible issues and causes.

Karen Tindall

Karen Tindall (PGDipMgt, CertBusSys, CertQA, DipDD)

Karen has worked in administration and management positions for 25 years, mainly in tertiary education. She has qualifications in management and quality assurance, and is also a qualified interior designer so has an eye for detail. She is currently completing a Diploma in Architectural Design and has a good understanding of legislation and the building code. Karen assists Keith on inspections, so you get two sets of eyes looking over your property for the price of one.

Building Inspections are undertaken in adherence to New Zealand Standard NZS4306-2005 Residential Property Inspection. Inspections are visual and non-invasive meaning the structure will not be damaged or tampered with to provide results. Common problem areas and any suspect areas of moisture build-up or damp are tested using a Trotec T660 non-invasive moisture meter.  Inspections report on significant defects, particular attributes, gradual deterioration, and any significant maintenance required.
